                                                                                                            Thesis Abstract

1. Addressed problems
It was found that, in Moldova, the share of exotic species is about 90% of all species of woody plants of the cultivated dendroflora. Analysing these aspects, we consider introduction as a strategic direction, which develops methods of plant selection and mobilization for new pedoclimatic conditions, studying their response to changes in environmental factors and gives an analytical assessment of the results of introduction.

2. Main contents of the thesis
For the first time in Moldova, the taxonomic composition of cultivated woody plants that belong to Pinophyta and Magnoliophyta was established, and the assessment of introduction, as a result of which the cultivated dendroflora of R. Moldova was consolidated, was carried out. An eco-geographical analysis was performed, floristic regions promising for introduction were highlighted and the lists of promising species were made.

3. Main results
The concept of cultivated dendroflora was developed and introduced, and the taxonomic composition of cultivated dendroflora of Moldova was established. The results of introduction of woody plants were assessed, and the Complex Theory of Plant Introduction that includes mobilization, genotypic adaptation, population adaptation etc. was developed. It was founded a new subdivision in ecology – the ecology of polluted environment on the basis of woody plants. Promising floristic regions for the introduction of woody plants in the Republic of Moldova were established.
